Dual Ascent Algorithm-Based Improved Droop Control for Efficient Operation of AC Microgrid

In this work, the loss (including wire and converter loss) of island three-phase AC microgrid is modeled as a quadratic function current distribution coefficient, that is, concave with equality inequality constraints. On basis optimization principle, optimal coefficient distributed energy unit (DEU) calculated online by double ascent method (DAOM) to minimize loss. It proven multi-variables can be optimized DAOM. Using average reactive power scheme, active minimum obtained in real time. addition, given high R/X ratio short-distance microgrid, power–frequency ( P-ω ) droop control power–voltage amplitude Q-E are not suitable for among DEUs. Thus, an advanced strategy comprising P-E power-frequency Q-ω proposed dispatch output powers Simulation examples provided verify convexity model effectiveness strategy.
